Backend Developer belongs to Self-Organizing and Cross Functional development team and is able to convert sprint backlog items to shippable product. They collectively own end-to-end development responsibility for a given Agile Team / POD. They will design, code and test the user stories committed for a sprint. Works independently under limited supervision. Possess skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop application solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Be a team player in an Agile team within a Release Team/Value Stream
• Develop and automate business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Be technically hands-on and excellent in Design, Coding and Testing
• Collectively responsible for end-to-end product quality
• Participates and contributes to Sprint Ceremonies
• Promote and develop the culture of collaboration, accountability & quality
• Provides technical support to team. Helps team in resolving technical issues
• Closely working with Tech Lead, PO, Onshore partners, deployment and infrastructure teams
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). • 3+ years of experience - working on multiple layers of technology
• Knowledge of Engineering Practices
• Agile: Working experience of 1+ year in "Agile team"
• Data / Information Security: Good understanding of Data / Information security
• Good in Data Structure, Algorithms and Design Patterns
• Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Common Technical Skills
• Back End - Java, Spring, Springboot
• Build Tools - Maven or Gradle
• Database: Experience of database (SQL or PL/SQL), understand concept of Big Data, NoSQL/Flat Database (Knowledge of Redis is a plus)
• API /Web Services: Working experience in Web Services / API, REST Architecture etc.
• DevOps:
• Knowledge of software configuration management and packaging
• Knowledge of build tools such as Jenkins
• Open Source: Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of OpenSource adoption and use cases
• Knowledge of Product / Project / Program Related Tech Stack:
• Testing - JUnit
• DevOps - GitHub Actions, Docker, Sonar
• Automation - Terraform
• Others - JMeter, Groovy, NewRelic
• Development Methodology / Engineering Practices - Agile (SCRUM / KANBAN / SAFe)
• Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  

• Knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure Front Door, Azure Function Apps, and Azure Networking with hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions
• Experience in React
