Role: Senior Software Engineer - .Net and Angular

Location: Bangalore

Job Description We are looking to hire a .Net application developer, with excellent technical and communication skills, to effectively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop functionality and enhancements for the ERP or web & windows application work.

In his/her day-to-day operations, the Application Developer will also field and resolve usage issues and perform other duties as assigned, that align with the role’s responsibilities and are required for the business.

This role provides an opportunity to join our International Development team. While focused on professional development and hands-on training with .NET and Angular this position will have exposure to creating world class applications for our internal users.

This role transcends organizational and geographical boundaries as it aims to support and enable the various divisions of the Herman Miller business group across the globe.

The ideal candidate should understand the software development lifecycle and use agile methodology (SCRUM) to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that deliver on enduser needs. Responsibilities

• Support internal and external customers by developing, testing, and deploying automation solutions using Visual Studio, VS Code, and Microsoft SQL Server in an AWS Environment.
• Work with technical / business analysts to ensure that specifications are designed effectively to support stable and efficient workflows.
• Develop and document the design of the application features and ensure they are checked into a central document repository as defined by the terms of operational policies.
• Help maintain quality and organization of processes, platform code, and data including code commenting and version control.
• Participate in functional testing. Work with the business to document changes to current business practices and assist in process re-engineering and change management planning efforts.
• Provide support for C#, Angular, and other solutions using the AWS platform.
• Adhere to Herman Miller policies on procedures for software development, deployment, and maintenance as well as information and data security standards and regulations in place. Required Skills
• Strong understanding of technology and architecture concepts.
• Strong problem solving, analysis, and design skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical professionals at all levels of the organization.
  
  

▪ Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional problems with intuitive problem-solving techniques

▪ Knowledge of Serverless development will be an added advantage Ideal candidate

• A graduate / post-graduate in computer science / technology / or equivalent with relevant technical skills
• 7-9 years of work experience in .NET and/or Angular development.
• Experience in ERPs like Syteline is preferred.
• Experience in developing in a serverless environment utilizing AWS and its offered tools is a plus.
• Ability to identify performance improvements and recommend solutions.
• Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work individually or within a team environment.
• Ability to participate in multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in a healthy work environment
• Has attention to detail and a penchant for quality
• Proficient in documentation as well as process and workflow design
• Command of version control methodologies, preferably with GIT/Bitbucket or equivalent
• Ability to take direction, constructive criticism, and work to specified deadlines
• Adhere to processes and procedures defined for the role, the team, and the organization
