About The Team

VIZIO’s mission has been to deliver immersive entertainment and innovative connected home devices to consumers at great value. In recent years, VIZIO’s growing device ecosystem and its smart TV operating system, SmartCast, have amassed over 19 million active accounts, growing approximately 400 percent since 2018. VIZIO has built this customer-centric platform on its devices enabling users to stream content for free by watching ads. Building on this foundation, VIZIO created an advertising business that has continued to grow while enabling marketers to reach consumers at scale. VIZIO’s platform has a strong portfolio of direct advertiser relationships, including many of the Fortune 500. VIZIO’s Platform+ segment, which consists largely of its advertising business, now accounts for all the company’s gross profit. Walmart acquired Vizio in December, 2024.

What You’ll Do

This team is responsible for the entire SmartCast application development and sustenance for the Vizio legacy TVs, including Vizio Home, WF+ and AVOD apps.

Team 3rd Party Apps – Responsible for any new 3rd party app integration, maintenance and support in Vizio TV.

supporting existing 280+ 3rd party apps in Vizio, partner app promotions and bundling.

VizioAccount integration and monetization for both 1st and 3rd party Apps.

SVOD, TVOD purchases and subscriptions through VizioPay, VizioAccount and sustaining engineering. Enhancement of Companion Library , VIZIO OS interfacing, OTA integration for 3rd party apps.

• Object oriented design and architecture in embedded systems
• Multi-threaded systems development and debugging
• Understanding and experience with the Linux Framework and Bluetooth service/stack
• Experience in MTK/Novatek and other SOC system development
• Experience with interoperability across various devices based on Bluetooth/HDMI/CEC specification
• Ability to analyze and solve inter domain systems issues
• Bluetooth hardware and software layers
• In-depth knowledge of Bluetooth BR/EDR and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols specification
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebApp development experience in Embedded system environment.
• Efficiency in web-based solutions using modern UI JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (Angular/ReactJS).
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs using JAVA/Java EE/ SpringBoot and experienced working with JSON/XML.
• Good experience and understanding on Redux, CI/CD and associated tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git).
• Advanced webapp debugging tools experience like AWS CloudWatch log streams and groups.
• Good communication skills and technical support experience.
