Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. Process Overview

Global Information Security (GIS) – CST-Identity and Authentication Services – Digital Certificate Management Services (DCMS) team is responsible for developing and supporting General Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Management applications and infrastructure services for Bank of America. The Digital Certificate Management Services team maintains the Venafi Trusted Protection Platform that is integrated with the Bank’s core PKI supporting and enabling digital IDs for strong authentication and secure communication for thousands of applications and devices.

Job Description

In this role, you will be using the experience you have gained throughout your career to provide firsthand operational deployment and support for commercial and custom software applications. While working within Microsoft and Linux environments, you will be an individual contributor responsible for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting information security technologies.

Individual will be part of the GIS – CST Application Development Cryptography team and would be responsible for all engineering aspects of the company’s Digital Certificate management services infrastructure and assist with general PKI support. The team supports the management of digital certificates issued from both internally and externally hosted Certification Authorities (CAs). As a centralized Digital Certificate Management System (DCMS), the platform interfaces with many different applications and devices. The team also provides specialized consulting across the enterprise around security and encryption technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, implement changes / additions to Venafi Certificate Management system and associated PKI Infrastructure
• Provide consulting to all lines of businesses within the bank on security related topics to include encryption, certificates, second factor authentication etc.
• Interface with vendors that provide security/encryption related services to the bank
• Participate in defining and developing the strategic plan for PKI
• Lead the definition and implementation of POCs around PKI, OTP, and other certificate related technologies.
• Must be able to identify, analyze and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization
• Ensure 24x7 uptime of the PKI

Requirements

Education : B.E. / B Tech / M.E. / M Tech / M.C.A

Certifications If Any :Cryptography, PKI

Experience Range : 3+ years

Foundational skills

• In-depth knowledge of the various phases of the Digital Certificate Lifecycle Management
• Knowledge on any Certificate management tool like Venafi, etc.
• PowerShell scripting / Python scripting / .Net development
• App management / support on Microsoft servers
• Proficient in Windows and Linux access systems
• In-depth knowledge of the various phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of database systems (MS SQL)
• Systems Engineering and Deployment experience
• Knowledge of policy-based and risk adaptive access controls.
• Must be able to identify, analyze and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization
• Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight
• Motivated and willing to learn
• A broad knowledge of information security principles
• Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking

Desired skills

• Must be comfortable in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding
• Comfortable with CI / CD process & tools associated with it – e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, JIRA, etc.
