Senior Software Engineer – BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot & Oracle PL/SQL

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience, specializing in BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot, Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, and stored procedures & triggers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data workflows and database systems for scientific and enterprise applications in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scientific workflows using BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot.
• Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, including complex stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and data integrity issues.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, and software developers to understand workflow requirements.
• Integrate Pipeline Pilot workflows with Oracle and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and ongoing enhancements of delivered solutions.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
• BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot (scientific workflow development)
• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, Packages
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Good knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to scientific R&D environments or pharmaceutical/biotech domains.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
