We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mainframe Professional with a strong background in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, SAS, and REXX. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies and possess excellent leadership abilities to manage an offshore team. This role demands a professional who can effectively contribute individually, lead an agile team, and handle client communications efficiently

Your future duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Lead and manage an offshore team of mainframe developers and analysts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Ensure the team adheres to best practices and coding standards.
  
  

Client Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates, issues, and deliverables.
• Conduct regular status meetings and provide clear, concise reports to clients.
• Manage client expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  
  

Individual Contribution:

• Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS.
• Good to have knowledge of DB2, SAS, REXX
• Perform code reviews and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues promptly.
  
  

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 5 years of relevant experience and Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies (preferred).

Must to Have :

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2.
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and development practices.
• Experience with batch processing and online transaction processing (OLTP).
  
  

Leadership and Management:

• Proven experience in leading and managing offshore teams.
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
  
  

Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle client communication professionally and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  
  

Problem-Solving:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies (preferred).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in leading projects in a global delivery model.
• Advanced certifications in mainframe technologies or agile methodologies.
  
  

Work Environment:

• This is completely work from office in client ODC and no remote working available.
• This role may require work in flexible hours.
  
  

Flexibility to work in different time zones to manage offshore teams and client communications

Good To Have : REX and database knowledge .
