Senior Software Engineer (Market Web)

About the Role
This Senior Software Engineer role requires a strong hands on experience in JavaScript based Fullstack technologies and AWS Content Delivery. The role includes designing / developing front end applications in addition to backend services and integrations with 3rd party technologies. The candidate will have to partner with multiple stakeholders and cross functional partners such as product managers, product designers, architects and teams (across geo locations) to understand the requirements and design solutions. The role also requires partnerships with architects to get design reviews completed and they will support the implementation of solutions. Additionally in this role you will help contribute to project planning, decision making and have the skills to adopt AI tools into their daily workflow.

What You’ll Accomplish

The role will allow you to work with a lot of autonomy on designing the solutions correctly and have an exposure to work with many different stakeholders. The natural transition from this role to next role with be Senior software engineer

• Every day, you’ll work collaboratively with your teammates, Staff Engineer and Engineering Manager in a fast paced environment.

• Every sprint, you’ll will design and run technical DnD’s, and work along with team on implementation

• Every quarter, you’ll support Senior Senior engineers, executing a significant platform-wide upgrade or innovative change to our workflow or tooling.

• Occasionally suggest innovations and improvements to products and processes.

Qualificatons:

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
• 6+ years of non-internship full time professional software development experience
• 5+ years of work experience with ReactJS UI and JS/ Typescript frameworks on the backend (5 years of direct exp might be a lot, would we change this to 3+ years? Again this is bare min requirements, more years is always great but looking for bare min requirements here)
• 2+ years of experience in AWS Content Delivery(Cloudfront, S3, Edge Lambda, Logging, etc.), Headless CMS, Media Content and Security.
• 2+ years of experience in optimizing for Core Webvitals, Typescript Config, Internationalisation of Websites and their builds, SEO, WCAG2
• 2+ years of experience in UI Experience, Design Patterns, SOLID, TDD, DRY principles

• AWS Developer Certified
• Experience in mentoring junior team members
