POSITION SUMMARY

Growth is both organic and through a steady stream of acquisitions.
Zoetis is seeking to hire a skilled Software Engineer - Content Management Systems (CMS) & Product Experience Management (PXM) to help with the strategy, development and support of our CMS & PXM platforms. Your duties will primarily revolve around building CMS & PXM strategy, overseeing multiple projects in a multi-vendor environment. At times, writing code, as well as fixing errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures and working with customers or departments on technical issues or pain points including software system design and maintenance.
Software Engineer – CMS & PXM is responsible for empowering the authors and marketing managers by providing tools to curate, manage and deliver content to various digital properties. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop the long-term strategic initiatives that up level the core aspects of the content management and product experience space at Zoetis and to expand our headless CMS functionality that extends the concept of content to an omni-channel strategy across our multiple web properties.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Help define the product roadmap for the evolution of the CMS and PXM platform, with input from Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD) and business stakeholders.
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
Facilitate formal design sessions with the team and generate structured documentation that is clearly able to communicate the strategy, roadmap and design to engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with CMS and PXM users and analyze usage patterns to discover user interaction pain points. Address the pain points in product roadmap.
Spearhead various projects that help us reach the vision of "Create Once, Publish Everywhere".
Ensure the quality of project deliverables through code and test case reviews and oversee development activities related to projects and production support activities.
Maintaining site compatibility, accessibility, and back-end performance and monitoring and adjusting standards periodically.
Provide support in technical emergency events and help resolve issues no matter when the failure occurs to minimize the business impact.
Review, analyze, and solution change requests to determine complexity and provide resource/cost estimates.
Mentor Junior developers of applications for the delivery and operational aspects of production and non-production systems.
Data Modeling and Management: Design and implement data models within Salsify to ensure structured and efficient handling of product data across all channels.
Engage with agency partners and vendor platforms to syndicate product content accurately and efficiently across retailer platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance.
Partner cross functionally to ensure digital shelf content is accurately reflected in Production Experience Management (PXM) solution.
Technical Support and Training: Provide ongoing support and training to users, helping them maximize the benefits of the Salsify platform.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
ZTD - Business Partner, Business stake holders, Vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or other related field or equivalent work experience in web development related field.
- 5+ years hands-on site-building experience using CMS like Adobe, Crownpeak, Episerver (Optimizely), Contentful, Contentstack, Drupal.
- 2+ Proven experience in managing Salsify or similar Product Experience Management or Product Information Management systems preferred.
- Ability to work in a globally distributed environment.
- Good track-record of executing in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and staff.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS• Strategy & development experience implementing Headless CMS Capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple CMS platforms is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Spring frameworks, Akamai, API Gateway Frameworks.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation skills.
- Agile methodology experience. Affluent with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders on business, marketing, and editorial teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
