Software Developer - PHP

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer - PHP to help build and scale our global eCommerce platform and tools for artists.

The role involves developing high-quality, performant web applications and RESTful APIs using frameworks like Laravel or Symfony, while working on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions, improve engineering standards, and contribute to impactful, large-scale projects.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, support, and maintain our world-class meeting software platform
• Demonstrate high ownership and accountability for the success of assignments
• Write code that conforms with established coding standards, patterns and industry best practices
• Analyze project requirements and accordingly provide technical and functional recommendations
• Recommend and implement new technologies for existing applications
• Conduct peer code reviews and engage in collaborative projects
• Clearly documenting new or modified code, particularly in the case of novel coding patterns
• Assist other developers with any technical and procedural challenges
• Interact with internal stakeholders to share information and communicate on status and product requirements
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  
  

• Bachelor's in computer science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
• Excellent communication skills and can communicate asynchronously and effectively
• Skilled in object-oriented application design and development
• 4+ years programming experience in PHP - Versions 7/8, MVC, OOPS, Profiling with X-debug, Composer, PHPUnit
• Familiarity with serverless technologies
• 3+ years' experience with AWS (S3, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront etc.)
  
  

• Experience developing RESTful web services, Queuing, Caching, Message oriented Architecture
• Basic working knowledge of Docker
• Knowledge of front-end programming, including JavaScript, jQuery, and React
• Working Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and SQL Server
• Experience with Apache and NGINX Web Server configuration, configure proxy settings, rewrite rules, performance optimization, logging etc.
• Advanced working knowledge of GIT (GIT Workflows, Advanced GIT commands)
