Position Summary:
We are seeking a Backend-Oriented Engineer with experience in NoSQL, SQL, and backend application development to join our engineering team as a Product Launch Contractor. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, results-driven engineer with expertise in backend development, database management, and scalable application architecture.

Established in 2016, Aumni Techworks partners with its multinational clients to incubate and operate remote teams in India using the AumniBOT model. With a team of 250 and growing, our mission is to provide a quality alternative to project-based outsourcing.

We are seeking a Backend-Oriented Engineer with experience in NoSQL, SQL, and backend application development to join our engineering team as a Product Launch Contractor. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, results-driven engineer with expertise in backend development, database management, and scalable application architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage a multi-step process for successfully launching new products, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration.
- Create and run queries for SQL and NoSQL databases to support product launches.
- Design, optimize, & utilize backend services and APIs to support product launches and e-commerce functionalities.
- Work with non-relational and relational databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to drive successful product launches.
- Follow best practices in version control (Git), CI/CD, and testing to maintain a high-quality codebase
- 5+ years of PHP-centric backend development experience, with a strong focus on object-oriented app design.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and Couchbase (or MongoDB), with experience in database design, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and implementing caching strategies.
- Experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, ECS, SNS, & SQS
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on performance optimization and scalable architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently.
- Knowledge of Node.js, Python, and backend automation tools.
- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem (headless and headed), and experience integrating with it.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and modular application design.
- Proficiency in Unix commands, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with Blender is a plus but not required
