Your Role And Responsibilities

Looking for QA Automation Engineer to join our fast paced Agile Test Engineering team in IBM Aspera who can take ownership of helping build automation and testing that will ensure high quality releases. Incumbent in this position is an experienced, hands on and self-motivated engineer who can work collaboratively in a continuous integration environment.

• Collaborating with Software Engineers and Quality Engineers to implement and improve automation frameworks.
• Writing and maintaining test scripts using existing tools and frameworks.
• Debugging test failures, analyzing results, and working with the team to enhance test coverage.
• Understanding customer configurations, reproducing issues, verifying fixes, and creating new test cases based on real-world deployments.
• Running endurance and scalability tests to ensure software performance under stress.
• Working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Cloud for test automation and orchestration.
  
  

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of experience as an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) or QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, automation tools, and debugging test failures.
• Proficiency in test automation scripting using Ruby (preferred), Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with REST API automation and performance testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience working with cloud service providers like IBM Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation tools (Chef, Ansible) is a plus.
• Experience running tests on multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac).
• Experience in Agile or Scrum Software Development methodologies
