Software Engineer - AVP

To Be Successful As a Software Engineer

• You should have more than 13+ years of hands-on experience on C# .Net
• Agile development using C#/.NET 4.5+, ASP.NET, WebAPI, SQL, Visual Studio
• Producing SOLID code with excellent unit test coverage and focus on Automation.
• Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a relentless focus on automation of testing and deployment via GitLab and similar tools
• Experience of C#.Net development covering REST Services
• Database development, ideally with SQL Server, Oracle.
• Writing unit tests using NUnit or any similar framework
• Hands on experience of popular tools e.g. GitLab, Gitlab DUO, Jira, Confluence
• Should have experience in maintaining Code version, CI/CD, manage releases
• Should be experience in web development, familiar with HTML, CSS & Javascript good to have.
• Risk and Control: At Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
• Should be able to work on requirements with stakeholders and manage delivery timelines. Need to work on diverse requirements & environments which are at times challenging, so would need to manage stakeholders expectation and meet regulatory timelines.

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
