Role Description
- Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration. It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments. Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle. Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions. Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow. Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability. Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, designers and stakeholders to improve Design System deliverables in the aspects of performance, accessibility and business priorities.
- Develop and maintain efficient solutions and features for Design System environment, i.e. components library, design tokens, internal and external documentation services, design-development tools etc.
- Improve user experience of internal services and customer-facing applications. Build your expertise on JS, React and Design System architecture and contribute valuable ideas to your team and our vast IT setup.
Your skills and experience
- 4+ years of hands-on as Frontend engineer.
- Great practical knowledge of Javascript (Typescript), ReactJS, Vite, react testing library, Storybook.
- Great knowledge of modern semantic markup and solid proficiency in modern CSS, including following technologies and concepts: postcss, styled components, SASS, CSS modules, functional CSS, methodologies like BEM, ITCSS etc. Hands-on experience with custom or open-sourced Design Systems / React UI libraries.
- Confident understanding of UI composition patterns (atomic design), principles of building a shared UI library and respective documentation
- Desire to expand your knowledge by learning new stuff and sharing insights with the team.
- Practical experience with documentation and/or jamstack frameworks will be a plus.
- Great knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, code test coverage & Git version control system
- Great communication & collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
