Software Engineer- Java- Mid Level

General Purpose :

You are responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting high performance and high availability applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives.

You strive to continually improve the quality, performance, and reliability of any code that you develop. You are analytical and can solve interesting and complex problems and implement innovative solutions. You will not only be utilizing your technical skills but also assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions by closely collaborating with Product Management.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems preferred
• At least 5-7 years of experience on below technologies.

Skills

• Extensive experience with: -

o JavaEE (JEE, J2EE), and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate)

o Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms

o React

o JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Bootstrap

o Relational Databases

• Nice to have.

o Tomcat, Apache

o VueJs, Angular

o Knowledge of accessibility standards

• Extensive experience in relational database (SQL or PostgreSQL)
• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development.
• Knowledge of various design patterns including dependency injection, factory method, and concurrency patterns.
• Experience with multi-threading, debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
• Knowledge of implementing unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
• Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum.
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
• Competent knowledge of JAVA, JavaScript Programming language or Python Programming language.
• Familiarity with AWS system operations and IaC (Infrastructure as Code).

Role and Responsibilities

• Analyze technical and functional requirements and design new components to meet functional, performance and availability requirements.
• You need to guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery and work with Lead to share workload whenever require.
• Distribution of work assignments, tracking and status reporting.
• Participate in the project planning process including estimating and process improvements in an Agile environment.

• Play role of scrum master.
• Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test.
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
• You will split your time between heads-down coding and team collaboration and innovation. We support each other out loud, working out solutions.
• Engage in the entire development lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with peers to ensure high-quality software standards.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving application issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in Clojure development and related technologies.
• Proactively identify and communicate improvements that can be implemented in the product.
