Software Engineer

Position Overview

InvestCloud is expanding and seeking a data-oriented back-end developer to join the Delivery Team. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience who is passionate about implementing and maintaining data integration jobs and services that connect third-party systems with InvestCloud. Ideally, the candidate has experience in the financial technology sector and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

The Integration Team focuses on developing state-of-the-art data solutions that connect various sources, including financial systems, CRMs, and unstructured data stores, using ETLs, REST APIs, and data streaming approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain adaptors and ETL jobs to integrate multiple data sources, including third-party systems and APIs.
• Ensure seamless data flow between InvestCloud and external platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and the Project Team to understand integration requirements and specifications.
• Monitor, debug, and optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and supportability.
• Coordinate with the Production Support Team to resolve escalated issues and ensure smooth data operations.
• Work with multiple clients to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Balance multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
• Ensure integration solutions adhere to best practices and security standards.
  
  

Skills & Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Groovy or a similar scripting language.
• Strong Java EE development experience.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle).
• Solid understanding of ETL tools and processes.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and integration techniques
  
  

Additional Technical Skills (Nice To Have)

• Experience with NoSQL databases like CouchDB.
• Exposure to message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Understanding of data transformation and mapping processes.
• Experience with financial data standards (e.g., FIX, JSON, XML).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in integration development or back-end development.
