We are seeking a skilled Technical Engineer with expertise in .NET / C# / SQL development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software applications while ensuring smooth incident resolution and system performance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET / C# / SQL
Collaboratively work directly with the Operations stakeholders and the wider UK Technology team offering new solutions where appropriate
Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage incidents to ensure system stability.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Optimize database queries and enhance application performance.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and support processes.
Work closely with stakeholders to enhance and modify existing applications.
Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Internship dates: June 9th to August 8th, 2025
Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in software development and support.
Strong programming skills in .NET / C#
Proficiency in SQL Server, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
Hands-on experience in incident management and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities – including the ability to explain technical approaches, solutions and issues to non-technical colleagues
Comfortable with ITSM tooling such as Service Now & Jira
Understanding of ITIL processes related to support and incident handling.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
