About Aurva :

Aurva helps organizations understand the data security posture, and limit the access to data by providing granular access controls.
We believe that with access to data, productivity and innovation soars. We’ve definitely noticed this firsthand! But this also brings a lot of security challenges and privacy risks associated. Hence, the solution to this is understand potential breaches in real time, and fix these on the go.
Aurva is led by two seasoned founders with experience working at startups as well as companies like Facebook. With this role, you'll help build a company that is going to play a major role in redefine how security is perceived. **
What you will be doing?
We are focused on building a tech first company, with the bay area values deeply ingrained in us i.e. ‘Move Fast, Break Things’ and ‘Build Scalable Systems’.
We value ideas, experimentation, openness and ownership. We are looking for the best of engineers, who are driven by the idea of solving challenging problems. Being a senior engineer, a lot will be expected from you, including a tons of ownership, mentoring and helping others around, ability to confront founders and putting in long hours when required.
This also means that you will be working closely with the founders and the Engineering leads as we build the product. You will be shaping the product and will play a crucial part in building the product, team, culture and values.

Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize scalable programs using programming languages such as Golang, C, C++, or Rust.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to ensure high code quality and adherence to standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- [Good to have] Utilize kernel technology to perform security monitoring and performance optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go or Rust.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Knowledge of kernel internals, networking protocols, and system-level debugging is a big plus.
