Job Description

This is a hands-on software engineering role that will work within our ASE Data & AI function. You will build intelligent applications that combine the best of application development and generative AI, including LLMs and agent frameworks. The purpose of this role is to develop scalable solutions that automate complex processes and extend capabilities beyond what humans can achieve manually. By leveraging your software engineering expertise alongside emerging AI technologies, you'll help transform business operations and drive innovation throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered applications and services that integrate with our data platform and business systems
• Implement and optimize agent-based architectures, leveraging LLMs and other AI components to automate complex workflows
• Build and maintain APIs and microservices that enable seamless integration between AI systems and existing business applications and underlying platforms
• Deploy, monitor and scale AI workloads on cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) ensuring high availability and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to implement technical solutions that address specific business challenges
• Monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Apply software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
• Document code, architecture, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing across the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working with cross-functional teams when necessary
• Stay current with emerging technologies in AI and software development, evaluating their potential application to business problems
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 1-3 years of hands-on experience in software engineering roles
• Proficiency in Python and one or more modern programming languages such as (Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java)
• Experience with API development and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with AWS and associated cloud services
• Understanding of software development best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and testing
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks and frontend technologies
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other integration patterns
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, or agent frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  

• Knowledge of AI orchestration platforms or vector databases for RAG
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Experience building front-end integrations using React or similar frameworks
• Experience with real-time systems and processing
• Good understanding of database technologies and data processing
• Understanding of security best practices for AI applications
