We are seeking a highly skilled Founding Backend Developer to build and scale the core backend systems for Y1’s fintech platform. In this role, you will architect backend services, design scalable APIs, integrate secure identity and authentication systems, and ensure our platform grows reliably alongside the business. As an early technical leader, you will own critical engineering decisions, influence product direction, and have a clear path toward future technical leadership as the company scales.

Key responsibilities include developing backend services using Node.js, designing microservices, and managing relational databases with MySQL. You will implement secure authentication and authorization flows through Keycloak, collaborate closely with product and frontend teams, and establish engineering best practices across coding standards, CI/CD, and documentation. You will also contribute to early architectural planning to define the long-term technical foundation of the company.

We are looking for candidates with 3+ years of frontend development experience, strong proficiency in Angular, Ionic, Capacitor, and deep expertise in TypeScript. Experience building mobile and web apps with seamless API integration, working with Express.js for backend interaction, and creating high-quality UI/UX with smooth, cred-app–style animations is essential. Familiarity with performance optimization, responsive design, and secure frontend architecture is expected, along with the ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced startup environment.
