Title: Software Engineer II – Tracking & Experimentation (Remote)

Job Type: Full Time Work From Home

Location Requirement: Candidates must be based in Africa or Asia.

Overview:

Join filarial is hiring for client Tracking & Experimentation team, where engineering meets data at scale. Help build infrastructure and software that powers experimentation and tracking systems serving 500M+ users monthly. You'll work across the full stack, solve complex technical challenges, and ship impactful features in a CI/CD environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently lead feature development from concept to production
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams
• Build and maintain high-quality code across the stack (Java, React, SQL, Python)
• Contribute to infrastructure for A/B testing and behavioral analytics
• Drive code quality via peer reviews and best practices
• Ship code frequently (daily release cycle) with CI/CD

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong Java development skills
• Experience with web technologies: React, HTML, CSS, JS
• Familiarity with SQL, Postgres, and server-side logic
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Comfortable with Linux environments and shell scripting
• Knowledge of software design principles and data structures
• Strong ownership and collaborative communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hive, Spark, Snowflake, or NoSQL experience
• GraphQL, Apache Tomcat, or Gradle familiarity
• A/B testing frameworks or behavioral tracking platforms
• Designed infrastructure for data processing at scale
