We are looking for a Software Engineer who has preferably worked on backends for games. You will work with a team of product managers, game designers, artists and quality assurance folks. As an individual contributor you will report to the Technical Director of the project.

Responsibiliti
es- You will drive planning and executing new game features
- . You will work with designers and product managers to provide world class experiences to our players.
- . You will mentor junior engineers and help them develop their skills.
- You will improve code for performance, focusing on reducing latency and improving costs.
- You will participate in code reviews and retrospectives and improve our code bases and processes.
- You will participate in technical discussions that help us plan our big tech-driven features and roadmap.
- You will write good documentation and follow coding standards.
Qualifications
Technical skills
- 4+ years of experience building backends for games / products.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing REST API.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common server side languages like Java, Golang.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with common backend systems like Databases, Queues, Caches.
- Experience working with user focused cross functional teams.
Soft skills
- Be open to diverse perspectives, debate your ideas and get behind the team's vision.
- Be
collaborative,
authentic and committed to quality.- Be biased towards action and see things to completion.
- Be observant and nudge our teams to iterate and improve.
