Software Engineer-Java

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Derwent team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Derwent Innovation Product. We have a great skill set in Java/Spring/Angular and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in these tech stack.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments

• Bachelor/Master degree in computer science or related field) with good communication and logical skills.
• 2+ years of experience developing web-based applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Experience in writing Unit test cases.
• Good understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Working knowledge of VCNs e.g., GIT, SVN etc.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
  
  

It would be great if you also have

• Experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

What will you be doing in this role?

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and maintain unit integration tests that are part of an automated continuous integration pipeline.
• Work closely with other stakeholders (e.g., QA, Product, UX, Devops) to release high-quality software.
• Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve process and product quality in pursuit of excellence.
• Collaborate with on-and-off site teams.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development, testing, and production.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in software development.

About The Team

The Technology team supporting Derwent Innovation is primarily based out of Bengaluru and few colleagues working from other parts of Karnataka. Our Tech Stack includes, Angular, Java, Spring, Oracle DB, Postgress, PowerBi, etc. We are in cloud native that includes EC2, S3, etc. We have roadmap to move into complete cloud native.

Hours of Work

It is Full-time job and team is in IST zone. Other stake holders are majorly in EST time zone.
