Software QA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in quality assurance and testing of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of QA methodologies, and hands-on experience with modern automation tools and frameworks. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and UI testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Design and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking systems like Jira.
• Collaborate closely with the development and product teams during the Agile development lifecycle.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Ensure timely and effective communication of test results and issues.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, tools, and infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
• Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and tools like Appium is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with API testing and automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
