Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your expertise will help us identify and resolve issues, and you will work closely with development teams to implement best practices in software testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define testing objectives.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns.
• Perform regression testing on new features and fixes to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
• Analyze and document test results, providing clear feedback and actionable insights to development teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Maintain test environments, ensuring they are set up and configured properly for testing activities.
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and methodologies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Proficient in using testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, QTP, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and results.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is a plus.
