Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with 2–4 years of experience who is passionate about building scalable automation frameworks and working on next-generation AI-driven testing solutions. The role involves working with Playwright-based automation, modern testing practices, and emerging GenAI/MCP-enabled test engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright
- Build and execute end-to-end, UI, API, and regression test suites
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases
- Develop scalable and reusable test components, utilities, and test data strategies
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in test planning, design reviews, and requirement analysis
- Implement data-driven and behavior-driven testing approaches
- Leverage AI tools / MCP-based solutions to assist in:
- Test case generation
- Test data creation
- Script maintenance and optimization
- Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and execution speed
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
- Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or AI-assisted testing frameworks
- Experience with GenAI tools / LLM-based workflows for test automation (e.g., automated test case generation, prompt-based testing)
- Knowledge of database testing
- SQL queries (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Test data management and dynamic data handling
- API automation tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms is a plus
Technical Exposure (Nice to Highlight in JD)
- Playwright-based automation suites with:
- Dynamic test generation
- AI-assisted test planning and healing agents
- Integration of testing with modern application stacks:
- Java backend, REST APIs, Angular/UI frameworks
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and logical thinking
- Good communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Engineer with strong automation mindset (not manual QA transitioning)
Someone excited about AI + Testing convergence
Willingness to build future-ready QA solutions, not just scripts
2–4 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
Strong hands-on experience in Playwright (JavaScript / TypeScript preferred)
Proficiency in: Web automation (UI + functional testing) & API testing concepts (REST APIs)
Good understanding of: Automation frameworks design & Test lifecycle and SDLC/STLC
Programming knowledge in one or more languages: JavaScript / TypeScript / Python / Java
Experience with: Version control (Git) & CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
