Overview
The Software Test Engineer Intern will assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by executing test cases, reporting defects, and contributing to process improvements. The intern will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to gain hands-on experience in software testing practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in writing, reviewing, and executing test cases and test scripts.
Need to have basic understanding about testing and able to perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
Assist in Report, track, and retest defects in collaboration with the development team.
Assist in preparing test data, test plans, and test reports.
Help maintain and update test documentation.
Participate in daily QA stand-ups and sprint planning meetings.
Learn and work with automation tools and testing frameworks where applicable.
Required Skills:
Basic understanding of software testing methodologies (manual for sure and automated only if needed).
Familiarity with test case design and defect reporting.
Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and QA processes of STLC (Software testing Life Cycle) .
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail,Testiny or similar defect/test management tools.
Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools is a plus point if knowing.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Familiarity or able to understand the programming or scripting language of one language is also an advantage.
Understanding of databases, APIs, and web applications is a plus.
