Software Tester Intern

Job Description:

As a Software Tester Intern at TechMET Solutions, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team. You will work closely with experienced QA engineers and developers to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in executing test cases (manual or automated) and analyzing results
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues and provide input for solutions
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing to ensure functionality
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective test plans and strategies
• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements
• Document testing phases and defects in detailed logs
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and procedures
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
• Fundamental knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience or coursework related to software testing
• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP)
• Knowledge of database/SQL
