Software Tester (Manual Testing)

About the job:

Key responsibilities:

1. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies (Agile), tools, and processes.
2. Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
3. Run regression test cases
4. Pinpoint and clearly report software defects in JIRA including relevant steps to reproduce plus screenshots and logs. Will also be responsible for verifying the fixes to defects.
5. Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical design specs.
6. Assist in reproducing, investigating, and debugging software issues in coordination with the Development team.
7. Recommend product improvements, usability enhancements or corrections in coordination with the Product Management team.
8. Should be able to understand the customer/end user's requirements and should own the issue till closure.
9. Actively participate in requirement analysis and test design.
10. Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the software testing life cycle for prevention and early correction of quality problems.
11. Demonstrate relationship-building and teamwork skills within all levels of the organization in a collaborative effort
12. Must be adaptable in a changing environment and be effective in many different business settings.
13. Good Knowledge of the Mutual Funds Domain

4. Test Case automation using Selenium & Java would be an added advantage.

6. SQL, Writing the basic database query.
