Description

· Strong understanding/Exp. in IP/Ethernet & Transport network technologies

· preferably Ciena, Cisco, Juniper.

· 5+ Experience of NOC operation Mgr/Shift Head for a Global telco

· Exposure to International Telecom processes and managing USA customers

Expertise Needed

Must-Have**

· 5+ Experience of Heading NOC operation for a Global telco

· Exposure to International Telecom processes and managing USA customers

· Ability to manage a 24X7 operations in a very stringent and zero error target

· Would be managing client escalations and working closely with USA customers mostly in IST evening time

· Good Understanding of Telecom network & services, in consumer, enterprise and wholesale segments for wireline networks including Layer-1,2 &3 networks.

· Strong understanding of wire line network, optical fiber/copper network including SDH, DWDM, IP networks, Active devices and Passive devices

· Strong understanding of IP/Ethernet & Transport network technologies, preferably Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, etc,

· Good knowledge of IP & Transport network tools used in Network operation.

· Experience in Implementation of IP/Ethernet & Transport network Operation activity, remote activity, migration, upgradation, roll out, and optimization.

· Excellent understanding of Wireline operation Level-1, Level-2 and Level-3 operation activity, automation, and solution building

· Excellent understanding and experience with IP/Ethernet & Transport network

· Assurance operation (EMS/NMS, Assurance tools, Configuration tools, performance management tool, inventory management etc.)

· Knowledge of automation scope/modules in wireline Operation and Manage service Operation.

· Strong background of operation improvement, customer SLA, KPI improvement, MTTR improvement initiatives and automation.

· Strong Team & Customer Management Skills -Knowledge of Test Sets and their functionality (RFC2544, G.709, SONET, OTDR, OSA and others) -

· Knowledge of the following vendor equipment, or a subset of the below equipment: o Fujitsu (FW7420, 7120, 4500, 4100) o Infinera (DTNX, DTC, ATC,

· MTC, TNX, G30/40, TNM/Transmode) o Ciena (6500, 5200, 4200, 3500, CPL, Waveserver 5, RLS) (formerly Cyan) (Z77,Z33,Z22) o Nokia (formerly ALU) 1830 . Cisco 15454 and 15600

Familiarity with the following systems preferable:

· Netcool

· Salesforce

· Metasolv
