Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with expertise in Laravel and Shopify to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP and Laravel-based development, as well as extensive experience in building and managing Shopify stores. This role requires a high level of proficiency in web development, an understanding of eCommerce platforms, and the ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Customize and integrate Shopify stores, themes, and apps to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers to create end-to-end web solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.
• Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of web applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and manage APIs for integration with third-party services, such as payment gateways, CRMs, and marketing tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and development practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on PHP and Laravel.
• Proven experience building and customizing Shopify stores and themes.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, shipping providers, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git version control system and collaborative development practices.
• Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases, as well as the ability to design database schemas.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Shopify Liquid and developing custom Shopify apps.
• Familiarity with Node.js or Vue.js for frontend development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.
• Prior experience in building and maintaining high-traffic eCommerce sites.
