Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer with 8-12 years of expertise in

CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in architecting,

developing, and optimizing large-scale web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of

backend development, system architecture, database optimization, and real-time integrations with

enterprise systems like SAP Public Cloud. The candidate should also be capable of leading a

development team and driving best practices in software engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using PHP,

CodeIgniter, and Laravel.

• Lead the development of RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend and

third-party services.

• Optimize database performance, write complex queries, and design efficient database

schemas (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Implement real-time, non-blocking data synchronization using PHP threading, WebSockets,

or event-driven programming.

• Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, security, and performance tuning.

• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure,

or GCP).

• Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality code

reviews and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, estimate

timelines, and deliver solutions efficiently.

• Work on cron jobs, background jobs, and job queues (RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka, or SQS) for

high-throughput processing.

• Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability while working with large

datasets and enterprise systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of professional experience in PHP development with a strong focus on

CodeIgniter & Laravel frameworks.

• Expertise in enterprise-level application development, API design, and microservices

architecture.

• Deep understanding of database optimization, indexing, and performance tuning (MySQL,

PostgreSQL).

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise API integrations (SAP,

CRM, ERP, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with multi-threading, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis

Pub/Sub), and real-time data processing.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or cloud-based deployment strategies.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Vue.js or React is an advantage.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring

tools.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior developers and lead development

teams.

• Experience working in agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SAP Public Cloud integration or other enterprise system integrations.

• Strong understanding of server performance optimization, caching strategies, and

distributed systems.

• Knowledge of serverless computing, AI-driven development, and big data processing
