Job Description

Automation QA Engineer – API Testing with Python | Experience – 5 to 7 years

• Overall experience of 5-7 years in software testing
• Minimum 2 years experience in API testing (SoapUI/Requests-Python/RestAssured-Java)
• Hands-on experience in Python (preferred)
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance and development
• Should contribute to manual testing along with automation
• Good understanding of Project life cycle with Automation architecture
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback by reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Develop well-structured and detailed test plans and cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Use open-source tools to design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Track testing progress, proactively identify and escalate project risks.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for products that will meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  
  

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proven experience in writing test plans and test cases.
• Working knowledge on VSTS is preferable
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing and automated testing tools.
• Good knowledge of SQL and exposure to QA automation tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Performance and/or security testing experience is a plus.
• Nice to have exposure to testing application deployed in public cloud
