System / Network Administrator (On-site — Gurgaon)

Location: Gurgaon (on-site)

Workdays / Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (6 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on System & Network Administrator to manage and support our on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure. The role requires strong practical experience in hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, networking, web servers, and basic cloud server administration. This is a full-time, on-site role based out of our Gurgaon office.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair desktop and laptop hardware issues, including replacing/swapping internal components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, power supplies, and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software on Windows, macOS and Linux systems.
• Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, firewalls and Wi-Fi access points.
• Configure firewall rules, network security settings and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners and other network-attached devices.
• Set up, configure and administer web servers such as Nginx, Apache and IIS, including implementation of basic security and access policies.
• Install and manage PHP-based open-source applications such as WordPress, Drupal, and similar platforms.
• Provide basic cloud server setup and administration, including provisioning virtual servers, configuring OS, users, storage, networking and basic security on cloud platforms.
• Perform routine server administration tasks such as updates, monitoring, backups and access management for both on-prem and cloud servers.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV systems including IP cameras, NVR/DVR devices and network connectivity.
• Implement, support and maintain attendance management systems, including hardware devices and related software.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, system documentation and network diagrams.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs, upgrades and escalations.

Required skills & experience

• 0 - 4 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware repair, with the ability to replace internal components and troubleshoot hardware faults.
• Experience working with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Practical knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs and wireless networking.
• Hands-on experience configuring firewalls and managing network security.
• Experience installing and managing web servers (Nginx, Apache, IIS).
• Experience with PHP environments and open-source CMS platforms such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Basic experience in cloud infrastructure setup and server administration (any major cloud provider).
• Experience troubleshooting printers, LAN, Wi-Fi and software installation issues.
• Experience supporting CCTV and attendance management systems.

Desirable / nice-to-have

• Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell) for routine automation.
• Certifications such as CCNA, RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, or CompTIA A+/Network+.
• Familiarity with backup and monitoring tools.

Soft skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle on-site operational issues.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
• Punctual, responsible and comfortable working six days a week from the office.

Work conditions

• On-site role based in Gurgaon
• Working days: Monday to Saturday
• Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Indian business hours)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
