Overview
Summary Of PositionWe are looking for a system administrator to join our Enterprise Support Team. As a system administrator, you provide Level 1 and Level 2 systems administration and end-user support for client infrastructure, delivering high-quality remote technical support across calls, chats, and ticketing platforms. Managed and documented cases through client-confirmed resolution while adhering to established procedures and IT best practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a stellar remote end-user and systems support experience.
- Level 1 and Level 2 System Admin and System Support for client infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage calls, chats, and case management queues.
- Perform documented “procedures” with attention to quality and detail.
- See cases and calls through to client-confirmed resolutions.
- Work from a ticketing system and document support-related solutions and client environments.
- Identify and troubleshoot repetitive issues for root cause analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, in a timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of IT best practices and data protection
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in Microsoft Technologies
- Collaborative, team-player, stays “Cool Under Pressure”
- Capable of understanding issues and prioritizing them based on impact to a business and knowing when to escalate
- Confidence to “Speak Up” and share knowledge, areas of improvement, etc.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Basic understanding of PowerShell and scripting
- 5+ years of Hands-on Workstation experience
- Window Server Administration experience, including but not limited to: Active Directory topologies and how sites interconnect File Sharing Technologies including (NTFS, DFS, FTP, and Backups) Event viewer review and analysis for troubleshooting and RCA File Sharing Technologies including NTFS, DFS, and FTP.
- Hands on experience modifying, adding, changing and deleting DNS/DHCP entries.
Candidates lacking this experience in the areas will be expected to learn these technologies quickly and apply their knowledge to client environments.
- 1-3 Years experience with Dell/EMC Rubric backups preferred. Candidates lacking this experience in the areas will be expected to learn these technologies quickly and apply their knowledge to client environments
- VMWare/Citrix Experience. Candidates lacking this experience in the areas will be expected to learn these technologies quickly and apply their knowledge to client environments. Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online administration. Ability to troubleshoot mail flow issues (internal connectors or SMTP inbound/outbound)
