Overview
Position: Data Integration Developer (Talend)
Purpose of the Position: As a Talend Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable data pipelines.
Location: Mumbai
Type of Employment: Full-time
Key Result Areas and Activities:
- ETL/ELT Solutions Development: Design, develop, and deploy ETL/ELT solutions both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Data Transformation: Perform data transformation using stored procedures to ensure data is accurately processed and formatted.
- Report Development: Develop comprehensive reports using tools like MicroStrategy and Power BI to support business decision-making.
- Documentation and Data Management: Create and maintain detailed documentation for data pipelines, configurations, and processes, ensuring data quality and integrity through effective management practices.
- Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, and troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues promptly.
Essential Skills:
- Good experience in Talend Suit (Talend Data Integration, Talend Cloud, etc.)
- Good experience in Snowflake & Stored Procedures
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modelling
- Experience with data quality frameworks, monitoring tools, and job scheduling
- Knowledge of data formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and Parquet.
- Agile methodology & tools like JIRA
Desirable Skills:
- Good experience in MicroStrategy and PowerBI
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud data services
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Talend
Qualities:
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Can influence and implement change; demonstrates confidence, strength of conviction and sound decisions
