Overview:
We're looking for a motivated Technical Lead to manage the transformation of data pipelines from Hadoop to BigQuery. You should have strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Dataproc, as well as proficiency in Linux/Unix environments. Experience with Spark, PySpark, Scala, shell scripting and Python is essential.
Responsibilities: Mandatory Skills:
- GCP Data Engineer Certification
- Experience in pipeline migration from Hadoop to BigQuery.
- Proficiency with GCP, BigQuery, and Dataproc.
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix environments.
- Handson experience of PySpark, Scala to understand the legacy code & to transform to cloud environment.
- Experience with SQL (Any Query Language), shell scripting and Apache Airflow.
- Strong understanding of unit testing principles.
- Added advantage if having experience in any Scheduling tool
- Strong Troublueshooting & Debugging skills
- Agile Mindset, Leading & helping the team members to resolve their technical road blockers.
Optional Skills:
- Familiarity with Kafka.
- Knowledge of GCP Looker.
- Bachelor’s degree (in any field).
- 7-9 years of work experience.
- Adapt/ Experience working in multi-channel delivery projects is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
