Technical Lead / Senior Full Stack Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and architecture of Node.js-based server-side backend for cloud-based neuroimaging applications, driving feature delivery and technical roadmaps.
Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs with MongoDB for scalable metadata storage, advanced analysis results, multi-tenant isolation, and DICOM data handling.
Architect containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes manifests for production-grade deployment, auto-scaling, orchestration, and hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
Define and evolve API contracts for frontend and integration teams, ensuring backward compatibility and extensibility.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster best practices for clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer/production issues, collaborating with tech-support, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
Drive performance optimizations, observability (e.g., logging, monitoring), and security (HIPAA/DICOM de-identification)

Requirements

5+ years in backend development with deep expertise in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js, Fastify, or NestJS.
Advanced proficiency in MongoDB (schema design, indexing, aggregation), RabbitMQ (queuing patterns, reliability), Docker, and Kubernetes
Strong experience with RESTful/GraphQL services, asynchronous programming, and microservices
Proven track record in healthcare tech, including DICOM standards, data de-identification, HIPAA/FDA compliance, and neuroimaging workflows.
Leadership experience: mentoring teams, architectural decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
