Job SummaryThe Technical Support Engineer position focuses on providing technical support for Hexagon’s VTD software, with occasional involvement in pre-sales and professional services. VTD (Virtual Test Drive) is a modular framework for creating and running high-fidelity virtual environments used in automotive and railroad engineering. It enables development, testing, and validation of ADAS, active safety systems, and autonomous driving technologies. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality service through strong technical expertise, clear communication, and timely responses. This is a hybrid position located in Pune, India.

What You'll Do
- Provide 1st line technical support to end customers for all VTD products, ranging from basic to advanced content, while meeting KPIs for response time and quality
- Provide basic and advanced software training and demonstrations, as part of both pre-sales and post-sales activities
- Create technical content such as knowledge articles and presentations
- Engage with the VTD online community of users
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Electronics or other relevant disciplines
- 2-3 years of industrial experience, especially in a relevant industry such as automotive, as an ADAS or automotive electronics engineer.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in AV/ADAS Simulation design and Scenario Authoring.
- Experience with tools, Vires VTD or similar software like IPG carmaker, Scaner, Carla, and Applied Intuition is an added advantage.
- Experience on Linux and understanding of computer fundamentals is required
- Ability to explain complex technical problems with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong self-organization and time-management skills with a commitment to meet deadlines
- Must be able to interact in a team environment
- Simulation experience with VTD
- Working with scripts and shell commands like Bash, Tcsh, Python, and Lua is an advantage, not mandatory.
- Exposure to programming (basic level), like C++, python is an added advantage.
