We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
In This Role, You Will
- Support the technology risk and control agenda for the CIB – GTS Technology Value Stream.
- Partner with technology owners and business leads to identify risks, assess control effectiveness, and define remediation plans.
- Assist service owners in responding to firm-wide risk, cyber security, and corporate control initiatives.
- Manage the lifecycle of risk issues and action plans, including categorization, tracking, and validation of closures.
- Monitor ongoing control effectiveness through the analysis of Key Control Indicators (KCIs) and other metrics.
- Act as a central point for collecting evidence and artifacts for internal/external audits and regulatory assessments.
- Provide clear visibility and status reporting on open audit issues, action plans, and the overall risk landscape.
- Support the risk acceptance process by ensuring risks are properly documented and approved.
- Collaborate with central teams (CCO, Cyber Security, Service Management) to promote and guide adherence to policies and standards.
- Prepare and present risk management information (MI) for relevant governance forums and stakeholder updates.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Risk & Controls, Technology Audit, or Cyber Security.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, application architecture, and technology platforms, preferably within the banking sector.
- Hands-on experience with risk management frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management concepts and the remediation lifecycle.
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Excel (including Macros), JIRA, and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate risk concepts clearly.
- A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work effectively across functional and geographical boundaries.
- Experience in supporting internal or external audit engagements.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work with diverse teams in a global environment.
