Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in test automation and in addition to that he/she should have the exposure to manual testing practices as well. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members in an agile environment to ensure software quality through both automated and manual testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web and API applications using Playwright or Selenium.
• Develop and execute automation scripts using BDD (Cucumber, Pytest or Behave) or TestNG frameworks.
• Implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable test automation frameworks in Java or Python.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Collaborate with developers to identify test cases for automation and continuously enhance automation coverage.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and test design reviews to ensure quality from the start.
• Conduct regression, functional, and smoke testing through automation suites and manual validation when required.
• Analyze automation results, debug failures, and ensure root cause analysis for stability improvements.
• Maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and automation framework design.
• Provide regular reports on automation coverage, execution results, and defect trends.
  
  

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright or Selenium.
• Strong command of Java or Python for test script development.
• Experience in Cucumber or TestNG frameworks for automation scripting.
• Good understanding of manual testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket for version control and collaboration.
• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation scripts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  
  

• Experience with API automation using tools like Postman or REST Assured or Python requests.
• Exposure to Appium would be an added advantage.
• Exposure to CI/CD integration using Jenkins or other automation servers.
• Knowledge of test management tools like Jira, TestRail or QMetry.
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
