Test Engineer

• Oversee test execution for data migrations, including ETL processes, schema validation, data transformation, and reconciliation for SIT. Support during UAT, Parallel Run, and Prod deployment.
• Validate performance benchmarks on target cloud platforms to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across source and target systems.
• Conduct regression testing to verify the stability of incremental migrations and updates.
• Build Automation testing scripts as needed.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and cloud architects to resolve defects and optimize performance.

• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and data architects to align testing with project goals.
• Provide regular updates, test results, and defect reports to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

• 10+ years in software testing, with at least 3 years working in Data Migration projects.
• Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of data migration processes, cloud platforms, and analytics solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in testing tools for ETL processes and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with on-premises platforms like Hadoop, Teradata, and SAP BW.
• Expertise of scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for automation and data validation.

Tools:

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, PyTest), data quality tools, and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB).
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiarity with DataOps and CI/CD pipelines for testing workflows.
