Overview
We at Innovecture are hiring for a "Test Engineer" to expand our team, this is a remote position. You will work across various Innovecture and client teams and apply your technical expertise to some of the most complex and challenging technology problems.

Job Description
Things you will do:
o Ensure that business requirements for both Functional and Non Functional areas are gathered accurately, understood, and have clear understanding of the Business Acceptance criteria.
o Form a Test Strategy that includes Shift left Test automation as the key principle.
o Ensure 100% test coverage for all Functional and Non Functional business, may work with the Non Functional test Engineer to ensure test coverage for Non Functional business cases.
o Hands-on; Creating automated Test suites for Integration, Regression including API, Data validation both back end and front end and edge scenarios.
o Testing AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for Testing.
o Automation testing of GenAI response validation.
o Identify non automated test cases to be performed manually.
o Work closely with a Lead Software Engineer to define code review, Unit test and acceptance test strategy.
o Follow good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery.
o Troubleshoot and resolve Test scripting issues.
o Log and track defects and provide regular updates to the squad on code and product quality, perform periodic defect trend analysis.
o Work closely with Software Engineers and User Acceptance team to resolve bug and quality issues.
What you will bring:
o Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policies.
o Experience testing AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for Testing.
o The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment.
o Proven track record of successfully delivering Quality software solutions.
o Experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code.
o Hands on experience on Automation tools & scripting languages (Ex: Playwright, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, WebDriverIO and Selenium etc…). Involvement in Selenium.
Environment Setup
o If the position is for Performance Test engineer role then the candidate needs to be proficient in Performance and Load testing tools.
o Knowledge of API testing would be a plus.
o Familiar with Automation Framework Design and Implementation.
o Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
o Good communication skills.
o Strong Self-starter and active squad contributor.
o Experience of testing software across a variety of languages, technologies, and platforms.
Technical Skills Required:
o Proficient in the following Test automation languages and frameworks; Playwright, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, WebDriverIO and Selenium.
o Strong experience working with MSSQL, API test automation.
o Good understanding of working with a source control systems such as Azure DevOps/TFS, Github or Bitbucket.
o Experience working with Jira.
