About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead UI Developer with a deep expertise in the MERN stack, particularly in Next.js and React.js, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high-quality, visually stunning, and performant web applications.

In this role, you will lead the UI development team, ensuring that our applications adhere to best practices, meet business requirements, and deliver exceptional user experiences. Proficiency in optimizing for Google Web Vitals is essential, as you will be responsible for the performance and accessibility of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the front-end development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to ensure high quality deliverables.
• Define technical architecture and ensure alignment with project goals and best practices.
• Lead the development and implementation of user interfaces using React.js and Next.js within the MERN stack.
• Architect, design, and develop complex UI components and front-end solutions that are scalable and reusable.
• Ensure that applications meet the highest standards of performance and are optimized according to Google Web Vitals metrics, including Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and high-quality code.
• Lead and mentor a team of UI developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure a seamless experience across multiple devices and screen sizes.
• Optimize front-end performance through techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient state management.
• Develop and enforce best practices for UI development, code quality, and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in front-end technologies and advocate for their adoption within the team.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong focus on the MERN stack.
• Extensive experience with React.js and Next.js, including server-side rendering, static site generation, advanced state management and Technical SEO.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, Tailwind CSS and CSS3, with a focus on building complex and responsive UIs.
• Proven experience in optimizing web applications for performance, especially related to Google Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint, INP, and Cumulative Layout Shift).
• Strong understanding of front-end build tools and libraries such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM/Yarn.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git/Bitbucket and development workflows using pull requests and code reviews.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.

• Experience with other front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., Vue.js, Angular).
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries like Material-UI, Ant Design.
• Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies, such as Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG) and SEO optimization.
