Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Python Developer (MTS - 2) to join our dynamic engineering team. As a core contributor, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including the design, development, debugging, and deployment of scalable and high-performance solutions. This is an individual contributor role with significant client interaction and a strong emphasis on both backend development and DevOps responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Python Developer (MTS - 2) to join our dynamic engineering team. As a core contributor, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including the design, development, debugging, and deployment of scalable and high-performance solutions. This is an individual contributor role with significant client interaction and a strong emphasis on both backend development and DevOps responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, identify, and resolve root causes of bugs and issues in the application.
- Own and develop features end-to-end, including UX, backend, unit testing, and documentation.
- Optimize code performance at the code, database, and architecture levels.
- Participate in full SDLC requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Automate deployment and infrastructure processes using shell scripts and configuration management tools.
- Develop Docker Compose scripts and Docker images as per application requirements.
- Write Puppet modules and assist in service deployment to cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain production environments ensuring system uptime and reliability.
- Work closely with customer teams to prioritize and deliver high-impact features and fixes.
- Maintain a mindset focused on automating manual/repetitive tasks to boost team productivity.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and its ecosystem.
- Strong experience with Django framework, including ORM and templating.
- Experience with frontend development using frameworks like React, Angular, or Backbone.js.
- Solid hands-on experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with Docker and writing Docker Compose files for containerization.
- Hands-on with Puppet, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with OpenStack architecture and standard client interfaces (contributions to OpenStack are a plus).
- Sound knowledge of software design patterns, scalable architectures, application security, and functional programming principles.
- Understanding of networking concepts is a plus.
- Experience in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring production systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
