Web Automation Tester

Overview

Position Purpose

To automate and maintain all our business line projects related artefacts and regression tests. Have requirement related to Mobile and web based applications and APIs. As an API automation tester, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated tests for APIs to ensure the quality and functionality of the software applications. Candidate will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to identify test scenarios, develop automation scripts and report defects.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Perform Web automation utilizing testing tools such Selenium, APPIUM, APIs Testing Tools, Cucumber
• Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
• Also ready to work on Manual test execution (if needed) by creating and maintaining test sets
• Experience in CI/CD is required
• Provide technical assistance to other API Automation Engineers regarding the enterprise Automation Framework
• Determine automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases
• Provide test automation status and execution results to Test Lead/Test manager and other project team members.
• Work closely with QA team members, developers and other project team members in the process of automation (agile environment).

Contributing Responsibilities

• Experience in using Java and Automation Scripting with Web, Mobile, API tools (Selenium, APPIUM , Cucumber)
• familiarity with CSS, HTML, Node.js and Angular JS is a must.
• Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus experience is a must
• JIRA-XRay is a must
• Excellent communications skills with strong analytical and problem solving skills required.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Thorough knowledge on all the key testing areas like functional testing, especially functional test automation and with clear experience in implementing test automation scripts within a test automation framework.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

• At least 7+ years IT Software QA/Testing experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in API test automation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in BFSI domain, experience in Personal finance / Lending would be an added advantage
• Hands on experience with Java
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
