The Role
We're looking for a developer who lives in e-commerce. Your primary work will be building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify stores - writing Liquid, building custom sections and theme components, page audits and analysis, conversion rate optimizations, integrating apps, and owning the technical quality of client storefronts end to end.

Beyond Shopify, you'll also work on WooCommerce and other stores, custom landing pages, internal tools, and web builds for fast-growing D2C brands. You'll collaborate directly with designers, marketers, and strategists and you'll be expected to own your work independently without hand holding.

This is a remote role. 3+ years of hands-on development experience is required. Shopify/Liquid experience is mandatory. Please Do Not Apply If You Don't Have Shopify and D2C Experience.

What You'll Do

• Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - sections, blocks, metafields, and schema configuration
• Integrate and configure Shopify apps, third-party APIs, and custom checkout extensions
• Develop and maintain WooCommerce stores including theme customization and plugin integration using PHP and WordPress
• Build conversion-focused landing pages, product pages, and collection pages optimized for speed and UX
• Diagnose and fix performance issues - Core Web Vitals, page speed, image optimization, script bloat
• Build internal tools, automation workflows, and custom integrations using Node.js and React/Next.js
• Set up and verify tracking - Meta Pixel, GA4, GTM, and Shopify analytics
• Work across multiple client brands simultaneously, managing timelines and communicating progress clearly

What We're Looking For
Must have:

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience
• Shopify theme development with Liquid - custom sections, blocks, metafields, and schema (not just theme editor clicks)
• WooCommerce and WordPress development including PHP customization and plugin work
• Strong frontend skills - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS
• Working knowledge of React or Next.js for custom web builds
• Backend fundamentals - Node.js, APIs, databases
• Git, VPS/cloud deployment, and basic DevOps comfort
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects without daily supervision

Good to have:

• Headless Shopify or Hydrogen experience
• Shopify app development experience
• Experience with automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n)
• Technical SEO knowledge - structured data, page speed, crawlability
• AI integration experience
