Web Developer – WordPress/HTML/CSS

About the job:

We are looking for a skilled WordPress/HTML/CSS Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining responsive websites with a focus on clean code, accessibility, and performance. The ideal candidate should have strong front-end development skills, be comfortable with WordPress customization, and have the ability to use AI tools to streamline development and QA processes.

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop custom WordPress themes and templates using HTML, CSS, and PHP.
2. Use tools like Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar to enable dynamic content updates.
3. Ensure websites are responsive, fast, and optimized for both mobile and desktop.
4. Build CMS dashboards for clients to easily manage site content (e.g., banners, logos, product listings, etc.).
5. Integrate with Shopify for simple e-commerce setups or custom storefronts (if required).
6. Collaborate with designers to convert design mockups into dynamic, functional web pages.
7. Follow best practices for SEO, accessibility, and web performance.
8. Conduct QA testing to ensure websites function correctly across browsers and devices.
9. Use AI tools (e.g., for code generation, QA testing, or performance optimization) to enhance workflow efficiency.
10. Debug, troubleshoot, and fix website issues as needed.

Skills required:

Other Requirements:

1. Proven experience building and customizing websites using WordPress.

2. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.

3. Familiarity with ACF, Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar plugins.

4. Understanding of dynamic content management (avoiding hard-coded elements).

5. Basic knowledge of PHP, WordPress hooks, and template hierarchy.

6. Ability to use AI tools effectively for development and QA tasks.

7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

8. Experience with QA testing and identifying UI/UX or functional issues.

9. Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or Liquid theme customization.

10. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

11. Understanding of website analytics and tag management.

12. Experience with headless CMS or API-driven content.

13. Basic JavaScript/jQuery for front-end interactivity.
