We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Windows System Administrator – Level 1 to join our team on-site in Vadodara. Role Summary:
As a Level 1 Windows System Administrator, you will be the first line of technical support for a wide range of managed service clients. You'll be responsible for responding to incidents, performing routine administration tasks, and escalating complex issues to higher-level teams. Strong English communication skills and prior experience supporting international clients in an MSP or similar setting are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide first-level support for Windows environments, including desktops, laptops, Networks, and servers.
- Troubleshoot issues related to user login, system performance, network connectivity, and software errors.
- Monitor system alerts, log tickets, and respond to incidents promptly via MSP ticketing platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, ServiceNow).
2. System & User Administration:
- Administer Active Directory – user account creation, password resets, permissions, group memberships.
- Support Office 365/Microsoft 365 tenant management, including mailbox setup, license assignments, and Teams/SharePoint configurations.
- Perform basic administration of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
3. Network & Security Support:
- Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and firewall rules.
- Support implementation of security policies such as MFA, endpoint protection, and patch compliance.
4. Client Communication & Coordination:
- Interact with international clients and end-users via email, chat, and voice in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
- Follow documented procedures, SOPs, and escalation protocols specific to the MSP client.
- Maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely ticket resolution or escalation.
5. Maintenance & Monitoring:
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including patch management, system updates, and backups.
- Use remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools to track system health and proactively address potential issues.
- Document actions taken, configurations applied, and client-specific notes accurately.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Windows system administration or technical support role, preferably within an MSP or multi-client support environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server platforms.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and basic PowerShell.
- Basic understanding of network concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with RMM tools and ticketing systems used by MSPs (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask).
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus.
Communication & Soft Skills:
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Experience supporting international users over voice and non-voice (email/chat/ticket) channels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple client environments.
- Customer-first mindset with attention to detail and service quality.
- Willingness to work in a structured, process-oriented MSP setup.
