Core Responsibilities:

- Theme & Plugin Development: Designing and building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch to meet specific project requirements

- Front-End Development: Developing the website's user interface (UI) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure a responsive and "pixel-perfect" design across all devices

- Back-End Management: Managing server-side logic, database integrations (MySQL), and website architecture

- Site Maintenance & Security: Performing regular updates, security audits, and backups to protect against vulnerabilities

- Performance Optimization: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and optimizing page load speeds and SEO rankings

- Client Collaboration: Meeting with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and training them on how to manage their content

Required Technical Skills:

- Programming Languages: Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery

- WordPress Ecosystem: Deep understanding of the WordPress core, theme hierarchy, plugin architecture, Wordpress, WooCommerce customization - custom plugin development using php

- Database Management: Experience with MySQL or MariaDB for managing website data

- Development Tools: Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git and debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector or Firebug

- Design Tools: Ability to convert designs from tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop into functional code

Common Qualifications:

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically preferred

- Experience: Usually 2–4 years of proven work experience in WordPress development with a strong portfolio

- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
