Department: Tech - Software Development
Location: Gurugram, India
Based in Gurugram you will be responsible for building a new Software team which will form a key part of the wider Software Development Organisation, which is based in Oxford.
As a Technical lead at Aurora, you will be responsible for turning product ideas into a reality that will shape the future of global energy markets.
You will be working on cutting-edge Microservices and using TypeScript/ExpressJS/AWS Lambdas and Micro-frontends built on React. This will allow you to help with the creation of customer facing software from design to deployment. You will be working with processes and tooling that allow you to release changes to our customers multiple times a day.
The successful applicant will have the leadership skills to get the best out of their team, but also help expand it and develop it long term. They would also have to have exceptional problem solving and technical capabilities combined with a passion to deliver great solutions for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a new software development team in our new Indian office.
- Work closely with the Oxford based team on upcoming development projects.
- Lead projects to completion, ensure they are delivered on time, and meet the user’s requirements.
- Work closely with end users (internal and external) to innovate highly effective solutions.
Required attributes:
- Substantial commercial experience in developing complex software solutions with some of the following Node/TypeScript, ExpressJS, React, SQL, NoSQL, Cloud Infrastructure or similar
- A proven track record for delivering great software and solving difficult technical problems
- Experience in running a software team with a portfolio of projects
- The ability to technical lead a project from inception to completion
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, and a great team player
- Experience of unit testing
- Experience with working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience of Python
- 5+ years of experience
